Albany Bahamas to Begin Construction on Luxury Marina Residences

By Paul Joseph

Albany, a luxury resort community located on the island of New Providence in The Bahamas, is to begin construction on a stunning new collection of Marina Residences after reporting strong pre-sales.

Created by private investment company Tavistock Group in collaboration with golf icons Tiger Woods and Ernie Els, Albany is recognised as the next important superyacht destination.

Opened in 2010, the resort is spread across 600 oceanfront acres and features an array of amenities including championship golf, holistic spa treatments and fine dining. It also includes a luxury marina, which has sold approximately 40 slips in just over a year of being open.

Once complete, the marina residences will range from two to four bedroom units with home theatres to large penthouses with private swimming pools. Designed by leading architects Morris Adjmi Architects, Gwathmey Siegel Kauffman & Associates Architects and HKS Architects, the first Marina Residences will offer both modern and classic profiles, open floor plans and flexible bedroom configurations.

At the doorstep of each marina building are private berths for 71 vessels up to 91 meters in length. Each slip offers state-of-the-art floating concrete docks and electric, cable and internet connectivity, whilst marina attendants are available seven days a week to provide docking assistance to vessels.

Initial occupancy is expected at the Albany Marina Residences in late 2013.
