€3.3m Lamborghini Veneno Roadster Showcased on Aircraft Carrier

As far as eye-catching promotions go, they don’t get much more impressive than the recent showcasing of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster on a giant Italian aircraft carrier.

The stunning all-wheel drive Roadster - which will be limited to just 9 units worldwide - was displayed on The MM Cavour during a visit to Abu Dhabi as part of the ship’s trade mission to the Middle East and Africa to promote Italian goods.

A roofless version of the Veneno coupe unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show (which was itself based on the Lamborghini Aventador), the Roadster boasts a standard 6.5-litre V-12 engine that generates 740 horsepower, making it Lamborghini's most powerful production model to date.

According to the Italian sports car maker, both the coupe and roadster can go from 0 to 62mph in 2.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 220.5 mph.

Other notable features include sharp, angular styling and an ISR single-clutch automated-manual transmission for gear shifting.

The Veneno Roadster will be priced at €3.3 million.
