“Big Boys Toys” Lifestyle Fair Takes Place in Dubai
Big Boys Toys, billed as the Middle East’s premier lifestyle event, came to a close in Dubai last week, showcasing everything from supercars and private jets to never-before-seen luxury products.
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event brought together the latest technologies and biggest brands from the world of luxury and lifestyle, targeted primarily for at the region's high-net-worth male consumer.
Amongst the main attractions at the 4-day show was an ultra-luxurious mobile home called the 'eleMMent' Palazzo, featuring an expandable pop-up flybridge lounge fitted with multiple bars overlooking two floors, and a couch that can be converted into bar furniture at the push of a button.
One of the most popular vehicles on display was the Nissan GT-R VVIP, which boasts 24-carat gold-plated aspect panels and grill, and can go from 0-100kmph in just 3.6 seconds.
Another favourite amongst visitors was the Dual Tracked Vehicle (DTV) Shredder, manufactured by BPG Werks. The Shredder, which fits in the boot of a car, is billed as the first all-terrain, crossover vehicle for action and power sports, capable of travelling on snow, sand, trails and even mountainsides at high speeds.
Big Boys Toys 2012 took place at Atlantic, The Palm Dubai Hotel between 8 – 11 February.
