Angostura Releases Ultra-Exclusive Rum Blend for Auction
One of the world’s most sought after rum blends will be sold at auction in the next few days after being put up for sale by its makers, Angostura, the premium Trinidadian rum brand.
Limited to just twenty 500ml bottles available worldwide, Legacy by Angostura is expected to fetch approximately £16,000 in the online auction by Langton’s in Australia.
The result of six years’ work by Master Blenders, the rum blend consists of 7 of the distillery’s most precious rums with the youngest being 17 years old.
John Georges, Master Distiller, said: “Legacy by Angostura is the ultimate expression of Angostura rum.
“We set out to create the greatest sipping rum ever produced and we believe we have achieved something that is both unique and unequalled.”
The bottles are being sold alongside a decanter, stopper and presentation box designed by luxury goods company Asprey of London.
Legacy by Angostura was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago where it will be made available in August.
