Angular Momentum Artisan Timepieces Feature Chinese Porcelain

By Paul Joseph

Swiss luxury watch-maker Angular Momentum has created a new collection of artisan timepieces featuring stunning and rare Chinese porcelain designs on the dials.

First discovered in the 1500s, porcelain is considered one of the world’s most culturally significant materials, influencing every ceramic tradition in the world, including in Asia, Africa, the Middle-East and South America.

The watches in the collection have been crafted using Verre Églomisé, a French term meaning ‘glass gilded’, describing the process by which the back side of glass is gilded with gold or metal leaf.

Each timepiece features a 40mm case made of 18-karat white gold, a hand-winding movement and a crown with cabochon sapphire.

Founded in 1998, Angular Momentum is a small, independent luxury watch manufacturer based in Bern, Switzerland.
