Aquavision Launch $130,000 Gold Plated Television

By Paul Joseph

British high-end TV maker Aquavision has launched a new LCD television set that comes complete with a 24-carat gold plated stand and is exclusively available at prestigious London department store Harrods.

Called the DB100, the screen measures an impressive 100 inches and has a resolution of 4K. But it is its lavish gold elements that give the TV the steep asking price of $130,000.

What’s more, the television set is also waterproof, which makes it perfect for luxury yachts and outdoor installations.

“This is our ultimate luxury television,” says Aquavision founder and managing director, Alastair Benn.

“It is a major statement piece that people with style and wealth can enjoy. We believe it is the most stunning and unique television ever produced in the world.

“There is a growing demand for luxury electronic items from consumers around the world and the TV market is no different.”

Aquavision says it has already received a number of orders for the DB100 from the UK, The Middle East and the US.
