Armani Hotel Opens in Milan

By Paul Joseph

The second Armani Hotel, owned by the eponymous Italian fashion brand, opened in Milan, Italy last week.

Armani founder Giorgio Armani was on hand to open the new hotel, which is located on the city’s prestigious Via Manzoni street, in a building that also houses the company’s flagship Milan store.

Also present to mark the occasion were a host of celebrities including Hollywood stars Jessica Alba, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard.

The 95-room Milan hotel boasts a business centre, with conference rooms and IT facilities, a seventh-floor glass restaurant with views of Milan's famous Duomo cathedral, and an eight-floor, panoramic beauty and treatment centre, gym and pool. All of the rooms and furnishings were designed by Giorgio Armani himself.

The opening follows the inauguration of the Armani Hotel Dubai - situated in Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building – last year.
