Arnold Schwarzenegger, the erstwhile movie star and Governor of California, has launched a luxury watch collection inspired by the silver screen.

Partnering with Brazilian watchmaker Magnum Group, Schwarzenegger, a renowned watch-lover, unveiled the collection at the BaselWorld watch fair currently taking place in Switzerland.

Available in September and priced from $565 to $2,790, the collection features watches themed around many of the movies Schwarzenegger starred in over the years including “Predator and” “The Terminator”.

According to Bloomberg news service, some of the proceeds will go to Schwarzenegger’s After-School All-Star programme, which he founded to provide activities to children in poor communities.

It is not the first time Schwarzenegger has been connected with the watch world, having previously inspired limited edition timepieces such as Swiss brand Audemar Piguet's tie-ins to the movies “End of Days” and “Terminator 3”.

The collection is on display at BaselWorld until the show’s end on March 26th.
