Aston Martin and Valentino Team Up to Create One-Off Vanquish
British luxury carmakers Aston Martin have partnered with legendary Italian fashion designer Valentino to create a one-of-a-kind version of the Aston Martin Vanquish.
The special edition car is emblazoned with Valentino’s signature camouflage print and was sold at auction this week at a charity gala dinner in London.
A collaboration between Valentino and Q by Aston Martin, the bespoke personalization and customization service from the British brand, the car is part of a project to raise funds for charities in Africa.
Created by Aston Martin in 2001, the Vanquish Volante is a drop-top super-tourer with a 568-horsepower, 6.0-litre V-12 engine that is capable of 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 197 mph.
The car gained global fame when it featured in the 2002 James Bond movie Die Another Day.
Founded by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford in London in 1913, Aston Martin has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury sports car brands.
