Aston Martin Create £2,000 Luxury Pram

By Paul Joseph

Not shy about diversifying into non-automobile products, British luxury car brand Aston Martin have now designed a lavish, limited edition baby’s pram costing a cool £2,000.

Made in partnership with childrens’ prams and pushchairs experts Silver Cross, the Aston Martin Edition of the Silver Cross Surf features the precise same leather used in the brand’s iconic cars.

Other Aston Martin hallmarks include the Alcantara lined seat pad - a high quality suede manufactured in Italy - and a leather-trimmed handle and bumper bar.

Additionally, the design of the pram’s aluminium alloy wheels are based on the Aston Martin One-77, a two-door coupé model which first appeared at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, and retails for £1.2 million.

Limited to just 800 units, each pram will come with its own certificate of authenticity and an engraved brushed chrome plaque to confirm that it is one of a limited edition. The prams will be sold exclusively at Harrods from April.

Last month Aston Martin launched a range of silverware for the home including luxury picnic hampers, champagne flutes, decanters, candlesticks, china, centrepiece bowls.
