Aston Martin Superleggera Marks Concorde’s 50th Anniversary

The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde Edition, an ultra-exclusive version of the brand's super-GT, was created in association with British Airways - who themselves are celebrating their 100th birthday this year - to honour the half-century landmark.

Aston Martin has a history of creating aviation-inspired Wings Series specials and the new Concorde Edition has become the latest to join the likes of the Vanquish S Red Arrows Edition, Vantage Blades Edition, and V12 Vantage S Spitfire 80.

Created by Aston Martin’s Q by Aston Martin personalisation department, the Concorde edition is limited to just 10 examples which will be sold exclusively from the British marquee’s Bristol-based dealership.

The special edition gets plenty of visual enhancements that set it apart from the regular DBS Superleggera. On the outside, the coupe features the British Airways livery colours on the front splitter, roof strake, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser, while a Concorde graphic decorates the black, carbon fibre roof in addition to a Concorde-shaped piece of solid aluminum adorning the side strakes.

The British Airways “Speedmarque” logo is placed on the front fender above the black enamel Q by Aston Martin badge. Inspection plates are signed by Aston CEO Andy Palmer and British Airways chairman Alex Cruz.

Mechanically, the special edition is identical to the regular version and is powered by the same 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine that churns out 715 horsepower.

Pricing for the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Concorde Edition has not yet been confirmed.
