Aston Martin to Launch new DB9 Model

By Paul Joseph

Iconic British car brand Aston Martin has unveiled its latest DB9 model, which boasts a range of augmented features from its predecessor.

Offered as a coupe or convertible, the new car also includes several elements borrowed from Aston Martin’s Virage model, which has now been withdrawn from the famous car-maker’s line-up.

Power from the 5.9-litre engine has been increased to 510bhp and torque is also up to 457lb ft, enabling the car to go from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds – a 0.2sec improvement. The car can reach top speeds of 183mph, which is 7mph lower than the previous DB9.

Subtle design tweaks have been made to the car’s chassis and powertrain, whilst the biggest design change is a more pronounced rear boot ‘flip’ that improves the aerodynamic performance.

Aston Martin is currently taking orders for the new DB9, with prices starting from $185,400.

The first Aston Martin DB9 GT sports car was launched in 2004.
