Aston Martin to Unveil New Vantage GT3 Road Car

By Paul Joseph

British luxury carmakers Aston Martin are to unveil their new limited edition Vantage GT3 road car at next month’s Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.

Based on the race car of the same, the Vantage GT3 boasts a V-12 engine that generates 591 horsepower. This is expected to trump the power of all of Aston Martin’s other V12-fitted models, including the Vantage S which can go from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 205 mph.

Ample use of carbon fibre, as well as the addition of a magnesium torque tube, a full titanium exhaust system, a lithium-ion battery, and polycarbonate windows have all served to keep the GT3’s weight to a minimum.

Notable cabin features include Alcantara trim, race-derived carbon fibre sports seats and touch-sensitive controls.

The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is limited to just 100 models. It will not be offered in North America or China.

Founded by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford in London in 1913, Aston Martin has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury sports car brands.
