Iconic British car brand Aston Martin has unveiled the latest addition to its open-top Vantage range, the V12 Vantage Roadster.

The new drop-top Roadster has been eagerly anticipated since the arrival of the V12 Vantage coupé back in 2009.

Powered by the same 5935cc engine as the V12 Vantage coupé and the DBS, the Roadster generates 510bhp at 6500rpm and 420lb ft of torque at 5750rpm. It is equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox and can hit tops speeds of 190mph.

There are several eye-catching amendments to the chassis, including a modified rear damper set-up, front and rear damper valve tuning and a new rear spring design.

The car also gets a lower front air intake, a new design of 19in alloy wheel and carbon fibre detailing to the front splitter, mirror caps, rear lamp infills and side strakes.

The new Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is available to order now, priced at £150,000. Production will begin in the final quarter of 2012.
