Danish high-end audio experts Bang & Olufsen are to fit the brand new Lamborghini Urus supercar with a bespoke 1,700 watt audio system.

The sound system was created through close collaboration between Lamborghini, Fraunhofer IIS, and Harman, and is billed as creating an immersive, natural 3D sound experience.

It features a 21-channel 1,700-watt BeoCore Class-D Amplifier, scalable Digital Signal Processing (DSP), ICEpower technology, and 21 loudspeakers for high quality, authentic sound.

Bang & Olufsen’s expert sound engineers spent over 400 hours fine-tuning and perfecting the system for all seating positions and driving conditions. It also features Harman’s patented Vehicle Noise Compensation (VNC) technology which measures the background noise inside the vehicle cabin and equalizes the audio system in response to different driving styles.

To match the car’s luxurious cabin, the speakers feature specially manufactured aluminium elements along with exclusive silk matt top finish with sparkling highlights

“Lamborghini and Bang & Olufsen are two remarkable brands with a longstanding commitment to the highest quality and the most exceptional experiences,” said Michael Mauser, President of the Lifestyle Audio Division, Harman.

“The two brands share similar values in performance and technology and we are extremely proud of this collaboration.”

Earlier this year, Bang & Olufsen announced it would be augmenting the Audi A8 luxury sedan with its 3D Advanced Sound System.

Founded in Denmark in 1925 by Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, Bang & Olufsen has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned designers of high-end audio products, television sets and telephones.
