Baros Maldives Named World’s Best Water Villa
A luxury resort in the Maldives has been named as having the world’s leading water villas at the prestigious World Travel Awards ceremony in Doha, Qatar.
The Baros Maldives was also nominated by travel experts in eight other categories, building on its growing reputation as one of the most desirable resorts in the Indian Ocean.
Located on its own private island in the North Malé Atoll division of the Maldives, the resort includes 30 individual Water Villas reached by a boardwalk suspended over an unspoilt lagoon.
Each Water Villa features a gossamer curtained kingsize bed, a bathroom with a view, and its own wooden deck for sunbathing with steps down into the lagoon.
Other luxurious amenities at the resort include three gourmet-standard restaurants, two bars, and an exclusive spa set in a pristine garden.
Prices at the Baros Water Villas start from £615 ($948) per night.
