Beau Lake Unveil World’s Most Expensive Pedal Boat

By Paul Joseph

Canadian luxury design company Beau Lake has designed a lavish pedal bat that comes with a word record price tag of $25,000.

Said to be the most expensive pedal boat ever to hit the market, the ultra-stylish water vehicle is called the Runabout and resembles a cross between a vintage yacht and a luxury car.

The self-draining boat consists of three primary construction components, including the hull, cockpit liner and deck surface, while an ergonomically designed, hand-carved wooden tiller with joystick component steers its course.

The boat also has a moulded fibreglass body, inlaid veneer deck and beautifully finished stainless steel castings and hardware.

A navy colour and mahogany deck are augmented by leather seat covers that snap off for easy storage and a compartmentalised cooler that contours to the boat.

According to its creators, the boat has been built for excursions, sunset cruises and lake explorations.

Beau Lake was co-founded by designers Lee Kline and Paul Lavoie.
