Bentley Launches New Mulsanne Speed Model
British luxury carmakers Bentley have launched the 2015 edition of their performance-focused Mulsanne Speed model, billed as “the fastest ultra-luxury driving experience in the world”.
First unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October, the car features Bentley’s formidable 6¾-litre twin-turbo V8 engine within a reengineered powertrain, and can reach 60mph in 4.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 190mph.
Furthermore, this enhanced performance is matched by significantly improved efficiency; a 13% gain extending the car’s range by 50 miles.
Other notable augmentations include an entirely redesigned combustion system (including combustion chamber, inlet ports, fuel injectors, spark plugs, and compression ratio) that enables a faster and more controlled combustion process.
In terms of design styling, the exterior of the car has been enhanced with a new dark tint to the stainless steel front grille, front mesh, front headlights and rear lights.
As standard on the interior is the Mulliner Driving Specification option on the base Mulsanne, which includes diamond quilting for the seats and door panels, special pedals and a new headlining.
The 2015 Mulsanne Speed is available in the UK priced from £252,200.
