BMW Provides 2010 MYS with BMW 7 Series Hybrid Courtesy Cars

BMW have proudly presented one of the most supreme and luxurious renditions of hybrid technology ever seen so far in an automobile, introducing the BMW Active Hybrid 7 Series.

Based on the ever popular 7 series, this unique car sets a new precedent for efficiency in the luxury class. BMW Active Hybrid 7 is the first car in the world to combine a V8 gasoline engine, eight-speed automatic transmission and an electric motor as a mid-hybrid concept.

This series uses a symbioses of an upgraded eight-cylinder with BMW Twin Power Turbo Technology and High Precision Injection with a three-phase synchronous electric motor gives the BMW Active Hybrid 7 overall system output of 342 kW/465 hp with an acceleration rate of 100 km/h in a mere 4.9 seconds, whilst keeping average fuel consumption to 9.4l per 100 km and a great CO2 restriction level.

Featuring a sleek and highly exclusive design, customers can choose from a whole range of customisable options such as paintwork, interior leather, trims and other personable items.

Finally, an exclusive design event will take place onboard of the famous CMN Yacht “Cloud 9” on Friday, Sept 24th, 2010 at 06.30 pm. The 60-metre masterpiece is the venue for international media and VIP guests invited by Edmiston, CMN Yachts and BMW. They will give a special experience in luxury, dynamics and aesthetics.

A Design Talk will bring together Andrew Winch, one of the world’s leading designers of sail and motor yachts, Nikolaus Graf von Saurma-Jeltsch, Director of the Munich Studio of BMW Group DesignworksUSA, and the Fashion Designer Guido Maria Kretschmer. The renowned designers will provide insights into designing yachts, automobiles and fashion.

The reception at the Sun Deck of the yacht “Cloud 9” will be accompanied by a salon show of Guido Maria Kretschmer Couture.
