BMW Revamps Singapore Airlines First Class Cabins

By Paul Joseph

California-based design agency Designworks USA, which is owned by BMW Group, has been commissioned to redesign Singapore Airlines’ First Class cabin.

Once the new cabins are installed, passengers will be afforded greater levels of comfort, increased privacy and larger stowage space for luggage and travel accessories.

The cabins will feature outer walls that extend and embrace the passenger, whilst should they wish to sleep, the seat reclines into a bed.

Crafted using high-grade materials, the seats are lined with fine leather and an innovative covering technique that ensures the upholstery remains smooth.

Meanwhile atmospheric lighting, personal storage cubicles and stylish tables add to the sense of luxury.

The new cabin designs will be showcased for the first time in September on board the new Boeing 777 300ER on selected flights between Singapore and London.
