BMW Unveils New 2 Series Coupe
German luxury car brand BMW has revealed its latest compact sportscar – the BMW 2 Series – which will officially launch at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
The new 2-door model is an enhanced version of the BMW 1 Series hatchback, boasting a curvy angular design and with additional road-holding and general performance capabilities.
Notable features include a specially tweaked suspension set-up and a host of electronic gadgetry, including dynamic traction control, cornering and dynamic brake control.
From launch, two petrol-engined versions will be available - the four-cylinder 220i and the six cylinder M235i.
Owners will also come with a range of add-on options, including adaptive ssuepsnion, electronically controlled shock absorbers, and a 10-30mm lower ride height.
The new BMW 2 Series will be priced at $44,000 for the US market.
