Bodrum Edition Set to Open its Doors

By Paul Joseph

Edition hotels have become some of the most stylish anywhere in the world since they were established by renowned hotelier Ian Schrager some years ago – and now the brand is set to open a new luxury offering in the Turkish city of Bodrum.

Exclusively designed by Schrager, the Aegean retreat will be spread across 72,200-square-foot and will feature as its focal point a striking contemporary glass atrium.

Designed in a horse-shoe shape, the property will also feature private lounge areas, seating enclaves, a full-function kitchen space, an onsite spa replete with a Turkish Hammam, a salt treatment room, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, and 14 treatment rooms.

Meanwhile a sprawling infinity pool and a pristine garden lounge further enhance the all-natural beauty of the resort.

The Bodrum Edition houses 102 guestrooms and suites in total, each boasting warm wood finishes and airy fabrics, along with an abundance of natural light. The standout offering will be a private villa complete with its own pool area and sauna.

Aesthetics at the resort also feature stone floors, marble bathrooms and terraces, all done in bright and neutral hues.

Edition Hotels is part of Marriott International, an American hospitality company that manages and franchises a broad portfolio of hotels across the world.

An American entrepreneur, hotelier and real estate developer, Ian Schrager is often associated with co-creating of the Boutique Hotel category of accommodation. Originally, he gained fame as co-owner and co-founder of Studio 54.
