Breguet Launches New Marine Tourbillon

By P. Joseph

Swiss luxury watch-maker Breguet has released an enhanced version of its Marine Tourbillon Ref. 5837 timepiece - now complete with encrusted diamonds.

The new Breguet Marine Tourbillon Ref. 5839 includes uniquely cut diamonds, with some even featuring subtly on the watch’s dial.

The watch also comes with a 43mm wide 18k white gold case boasting 11.77 carats of stones.

Inside the watch the chronograph is embedded with Breguet caliber 554.4 manually-wounded movements, 50 hours of power reserve, and a silicium balance spring and escapement wheel.

The previous Marine Tourbillon Ref. 5837 was launched some years ago and received positive reviews from watch connoisseurs across the world, with its signature Breguet style and elegance. The Swiss brand will be hoping the augmented model achieves similar acclaim.

Currently part of the Swatch Group, Breguet was founded by Abraham-Louis Breguet in Paris in 1775.
