Burberry & Vivienne Westwood to collaborate on Brit Fashion Collection

By Paul Joseph

Two of the most iconic British luxury brands, Burberry and Vivienne Westwood, are teaming up on a new limited edition collection of re-imagined Brit-themed art fashion.

The collection will spotlight reworked items from the Westwood archives, with proceeds from the collection going to benefit rainforest charity Cool Earth.

Speaking about the partnership, Burberry Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci said: “Vivienne Westwood was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself and when I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something.

“She is a rebel, a punk and unrivalled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.”

Established by eponymous founder Thomas Burberry in 1856, Burberry has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned high-end fashion labels.

Vivienne Westwood is widely considered responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream
