Burberry Launch ‘Britain Icon Check’ Men’s Timepiece

By Paul Joseph

British luxury fashion house Burberry has created a limited edition men’s timepiece featuring a grid dial replicating its signature check trademark.

Limited to just 20 pieces, the ‘Britain Icon Check’ was designed by Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey and is part of a new collection going by the same name as the new watch.

It features a 45 mm polished and brushed anthracite DLC-treated titanium case and an AR-coated sapphire crystal, while an openwork grid – also crafted from anthracite – offers glimpses of the watch’s movement

Inside, a modified Swiss manual-wind ETA caliber 2878, with 17 jewels, beats at 28,800 vph with a power reserve of 42 hours.

Other notable features include a black alligator leather with a folding clasp and water resistance up to 50 metres.

Better known for its clothing collections, Burberry launched its first ever luxury timepiece in 2012, called “The Britain”.
