Cannes Yachting Festival to Showcase Luxury Gallery

By Paul Joseph

Last year’s Cannes Yachting Festival saw the launch of a dedicated Luxury Gallery that showcased some of the finest luxury goods to be found anywhere in the world – and so successful was the inaugural edition that it’s being repeated for 2018.

Situated within the Palais des Festivals, the Luxury Gallery will once again present luxury brands from outside the world of yachting. This will include watches, jewellery, fine sprits, fashion and accessories, design, art, high-tech products and services.

Among the luxury names in attendance will be Italian carmakers Maserati, who have reconfirmed their presence as Official Partner of the Cannes Yachting Festival. All VIP and Riviera card holders will enjoy a courtesy car service from Nice Airport to the festival, while at the heart of the event in the Maserati lounge, all visitors can explore the latest Maserati models on show.

Taking place over 6 days in September, the festival is expecting once again to welcome more than 50,000 visitors from across the world to view and trial 600 boats on show. More than 100 boats will make their world premiere at the show positioned at each end of the famous Promenade de la Croisette.

Notable boat-themed events taking place include the Concours d’Elégance competition, returning for a fourth year and providing a unique spectacle of rare vintage and modern-day boats.

Recognised as one of the most important international boating events and Europe’s largest in-water show, the Cannes Yachting Festival has been running since 1977 and is known for its eclecticism and the wealth of vessels presented in a range of sizes.

The Cannes Yachting Festival 2018 will take place from 11 – 16 September.
