Cartier to Release La Panthère Fragrance

By Paul Joseph

Cartier are to launch a new fragrance named after the panther symbol that is indelibly linked with the iconic French brand.

Created by Cartier's in-house perfumer Mathilde Laurent, La Panthère is described as boasting the prominent scent of the gardenia plant, which is member of the coffee family, and featuring a floral character that contrasts with notes of musk and chypre.

The eau de parfum bottle features an inner lay within transparent glass that reveals a cubist panther’s head.

To promote the new product, Cartier have also created a campaign video featuring American model Erin Wasson and shot by British director and producer Sean Ellis.

La Panthère will be available from March, priced between €59 and €105.50, depending on volume.

Founded by Louis-François Cartier in Paris, France in 1847, Cartier has grown to become one of the world’s most illustrious luxury brands.
