Carven Opens its First Store in Paris

By P. Joseph

French fashion house Carven opened its first retail boutique this week, located in the chic Parisian district of German des Pres.

The famous label, whose clothes have been worn by Hollywood stars and royalty, has achieved prominence in the fashion world in recent seasons under the guidance of creative director Guillaume Henry. The brand hopes that the opening of the new store will capitalise on this growing reputation.

Situated at 36 rue Saint Sulpice, the store’s ground floor comprises a 50m2 area displaying the brand’s latest collections, whilst the first floor is given over to a vast reception room devoted to fittings.

The Paris opening is being followed by another landmark event for the brand taking place in London today, where Carven collections are being unveiled at the Bluebird shop on the prestigious King’s Road.

Carven was founded in 1945 by French couturier Madame Carmen de Tommaso.
