Champagne Maker Creates £1.2 million Bottle

Luxury champagne brand Goût de Diamants has created what is being billed as the world’s most expensive bottle of champagne.

Created for an anonymous private buyer, the eye-watering price stems from the fact that the bottle’s logo has been encrusted with a flawless, deep-cut white 19-carat diamond, positioned where a distinctive Swarovski crystal normally sits.

This label - which is based on the Superman insignia - is also handmade in 18-karat solid gold and is engraved with the buyer’s name.

The bottle was designed by Alexander Amosu, better known as an entrepreneur and founder of UK luxury mobile phone makers Amosu.

Commenting on the design, Amosu said: "The bottle already has a distinctive look with its natural design, all I had to do is bring it to the next level of ultimate luxury. "

Brand representative Shammi Shinh added: "All our bottles come as standard with an exquisite diamond-themed bottle design encrusted with a diamond cut Swarovski crystal.

"We wanted to take it one step further and create a one off masterpiece for one of our private wealthy clients and we are very please with the results."

In 2009, Nigerian-born Amosu set a Guinness World Record for creating the world’s most valuable suit, consisting of an array of lavish materials including gold thread, Himalayan pashmina, qiviuk and vicuna.
