Chanel Create New J12-365 Timepiece

Iconic French brand Chanel is to launch a new version of its famous J12 timepiece at the Baselworld watch fair which takes place in Switzerland later this month.

Whilst the new incarnation shares many similarities with the original high-tech ceramic model, it also boasts several innovative augmentations which serve to lend the timepiece a more refined femininity.

Most notable of the changes is the watch’s ceramic case – available in black or white – which is accented with a choice of steel or beige gold, and a new shade of 18-karat gold obtained through an alloy developed by Chanel.

Another distinct difference is the watch’s size, which now boasts a 36.5mm diameter, down from 38mm on its predecessors.

Other features include a mechanical self-winding movement with a 42-hour power reserve and hour, minute, second and date indication.

The J12-365 by Chanel is available either in white ceramic with steel or beige gold and with or without diamond inlay, or in black ceramic with steel or beige gold and with or without diamond inlay.

Founded in Paris in 1909, Chanel has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury brands.
