Chanel Launch New Premiere Flying Tourbillons

French luxury goods brand Chanel have created two new limited edition versions of its Premiere Flying Tourbillon women’s watch for Baselworld 2013.

Designed for Chanel by Swiss expert watchmakers Renaud & Papi, the new watches are available with a 18-karat white gold case set with a choice of 39 blue or pink sapphires, and are both limited to a run of just five pieces each.

The design of the watches was inspired by the octagonal geometry of the Place Vendôme in Paris and Chanel’s No. 5 perfume bottle stopper.

Other notable features include a dial adorned with diamonds forming a motif of camellias, the favourite flowers of Chanel’s late eponymous founder Coco.

Last year, the original Chanel Premiere Flying Tourbillon was voted as the best ladies watch at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, the watch industry’s most prestigious awards ceremonies.

The new Chanel Premiere Flying Tourbillon watches will be on display at Baselworld 2013 which runs from 25th April – 2nd May.

Chanel was founded by Coco Chanel in Paris in 1909.
