Chanel Unveil ‘Boy.Friend’ Timepiece for Women

By Paul Joseph

World renowned French fashion brand Chanel have designed a new women’s timepiece called the Boy.Friend.

Featuring an octagon-shaped dial – a shape steeped in Chanel’s history thanks to the iconic No 5 perfume bottle and the brand’s Première timepiece (not to mention the Place Vendôme in Paris, home to the first Chanel store) – the new watch comes in two versions.

The first boasts 64 diamonds on the bezel and is equipped with a high-precision quartz movement, while the second larger version features 66 diamonds and a manual-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of 42 hours.

Both watches come with an alligator strap (more typically found with men’s watches) are available in either 18-carat white gold with brilliant-cut diamonds or in 18-carat beige gold with or without diamonds.

The Boy.Friend by Chanel will be available to buy from September, with prices ranging from €11,400 to €25,200.

Founded in Paris in 1909, Chanel has grown to become one of the world’s most famous luxury brands.
