Chanel’s New London Store Becomes Largest Worldwide
Iconic French fashion house Chanel opens a new flagship store in London today – the largest Chanel store anywhere in the world.
Located on the capital’s prestigious New Bond Street, the store was designed by architect Peter Marino and is spread across three floors comprising a total of 12,600 square metres.
The focus of the store is on Chanel accessories, including scarves, belts and men’s ties and will also boast a full range of Chanel products such as ready-to-wear items, fine jewellery and cosmetics.
Every section of the store is divided into separate rooms, each containing a host of stylish touches including coffee tables scattered with Chanel books, fireplaces and lavish carpets.
Perhaps the stand-out feature, however, is a sculpture made entirely from hand-blown Venetian glass, which appears as if suspended from the ceiling, rising from the ground to the top of the third floor.
Founded by Coco Chanel in Paris in 1909, Chanel has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury brands.
