New York’s Mandarin Oriental was the setting for the eighth annual Spring Dinner Dance on Tuesday, an evening that saw over $550,000 raised for children in foster care.

The lavish event, sponsored by Soigne K, the Madison Avenue boutique, is held to raise money for New Yorkers For Children (NYFC), a non-profit organisation created to improve the lives of children in foster care in New York City.

The evening featured dinner, bollywood dancers, a silent auction, and a surprise performance by Musician Wyclef Jean.

Special guests included ten children currently in foster care in New York, each of whom was specially dressed by women’s label Ann Taylor, whilst Dior Beauty and Frédéric Fekkai provided makeup and hairstyling.

Additional sponsors at the event included Bally, Bulgari, Chloé, CNN, Dior Beauty, Frédéric Fekkai, Gilt Groupe, Gucci, HONOR, La Perla, Lanvin, MAC Cosmetics, Miriam Haskell, Kimberly Newport-Mimran for Pink Tartan, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

NYFC partners with the Administration for Children’s Services to improve the lives of children in foster care in New York City. Since 1996, the organisation has funded a variety of initiatives including college scholarships, tutoring programs, job training, and networking opportunities.
