Chef Claudio Lobina: An Evening of Culinary Brilliance

Continuum, South Florida’s premier resort-style oceanfront condominium residences, announces its third year of participation in the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One. Taking place February 24–27, 2022, South Florida’s iconic name in luxury living will be joining forces with two of today’s most celebrated Food Network personalities, as part of the official Intimate Dinner Series.

The Patio restaurant at the Continuum in Miami Beach will once again present a preeminent evening of majestic gastronomy under the stars, hosted by the talented judges from The Food Network’s premier television contest “Chopped” Amanda Freitag and Marc Murphy, who will join forces with The Patio’s Chef Claudio Lobina on Thursday, February 24th starting at 7:00 p.m. Continuum residents and guests will enjoy a decadent four-course dinner menu featuring world class international fare by three of today’s most seasoned culinary aficionados.
All-star chefs and Chopped favorites and close friends Amanda Freitag and Marc Murphy are trading the judges’ table for the dinner table as they headline this exclusive event alongside Claudio Lobina, the Executive Chef of The Patio at the Continuum. Lobina will join forces with Murphy, the classically trained chef responsible for some of New York City’s most beloved former haunts, and the lively Freitag, a Food Network favorite and author of The Chef Next Door, to serve up a seasonal and skillfully balanced menu.
Amanda Freitag is a regular judge on Chopped. She recently competed in The Next Iron Chef: Redemption, coming in second place. Amanda has been cooking professionally for more than 20 years and has worked under a long list of chefs including Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Alain Passard, Diane Forley and Tom Valenti, to name a few, and it is with great excitement that Amanda is now working toward opening a restaurant of her own.  Marc Murphy is a regular judge on Chopped and has also appeared on Iron Chef America. Marc has logged more than 20 years in the restaurant business, and he is currently executive chef and owner of Benchmarc Restaurants (Landmarc and Ditch Plains in New York) and Benchmarc Events.

Guests will enjoy an exclusive menu comprising of International delicacies that will include: Mini Lamb Meatballs with Pistachio Pesto and Labne; Prosciutto, Gruyere and Basil Pinwheels; Sicilian Risotto Acquarello; Baked Feta with Shredded phyllo Apricot-lime Coulis, Za'atar Honey and Chili Oil; Seared Sea scallops over Leek and Parmesan Risotto, Fried Leek and Parsley Oil and Milano Duck Roasted Duck, Saffron Cream and Orange Coulis.
Star chef personalities Amanda Freitag and Marc Murphy will join forces with Chef Lobina for a sophisticated dining experience that combines International culinary artistry with Lobina’s dedication to the preservation of vibrant Mediterranean flavors. Nestled in the center of the Continuum’s luxurious grounds, The Patio restaurant will transport diners to an outdoor oasis for this special dinner, paired with a delicious selection of wine from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio.
