Chrysler 2013 SRT Viper Set for Production

By Paul Joseph

The Chrysler 2013 SRT Viper grabbed plenty of attention when it was showcased at the New York Motor Show last April, and now the new model is set to enter production, with a starting price of $99,390.

Available in two versions – the standard SRT Viper and the GTS ($122,390) – the new car’s body style and interior have been entirely revamped from its predecessor, whilst sharing the same 8.4-liter V10 engine with 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque.

The 10 cylinder car can hit a top speed of 206 mph and go from 0-60 mph time in just over 2 seconds.

The GTS is kitted out with several augmented features including two-mode active suspension and premium interior furnishings. Additionally, the GTS has a black rear section, whilst the standard SRT comes with a body colour matching rear section.

Other notable features on both versions include rimmed LED headlights, wide air vents that blend into the line of the car’s body, and aluminium composite door panels and side wings.

Chrysler was founded by Walter Chrysler in 1925.
