Classic Factory to Launch Lyonheart K Sports Car
Swiss design and engineering company Classic Factory have created a new luxury sports car called the Lyonheart K.
The work of Swiss designer Bo Zolland, the Lyonheart K takes on the appearance of a classic British sports car such as Jaguar or Aston Martin.
It boasts carbon fibre panels covering an aluminium body, as well as XJ-style lights. Power will come from a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 engine tuned to deliver 542 horsepower and 501 pound-feet of torque.
With its aluminium body weighing less than 1,600kg, the car is expected to have the capacity to go from 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds and reach top speeds of 186mph.
Despite being designed in Switzerland, the Lyonheart K is being billed as a British creation, with every part developed, engineered and hand-built in England by Lyonheart Cars Ltd, a company set up specifically for this model.
"We want to make the 'Made In England' label into a truthful concept, not just a statement," says Robert Palm, CEO of Classic Factory.
Orders for the first 50 Lyonheart K models are now open, with prices beginning at €495,000 Euros (£417,000) before tax.
