Coach Marks 75 Years with Special Activities

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the global luxury brand, Coach, who are honouring the milestone with a series of special activities.

From its humble beginnings as a small, family-run workshop of six artisans in New York City to its position today as a leading global lifestyle brand, Coach has a rich heritage.

It is one of the world’s most recognizable fashion houses, beloved for its unique heritage of craftsmanship and innovative New York design.

In its 75th year, Coach continues to grow and flourish, while stepping into its next chapter as a leading house of modern luxury fashion and accessories. To commemorate this important milestone, a series of activities will honour Coach’s past and celebrate its vision of the future:.

In September 2015, Coach kicked off its anniversary celebration with the debut of Coach 1941, where Coach explores the notion of what luxury and quality mean in a fresh and modern context. This innovative ready-to-wear and accessories collection was launched with a historic women’s runway show on New York’s High Line.

Coach 1941 has grown to encompass four women’s and two men’s collections annually, and is carried at select Coach stores across the globe as well as prestigious international retailers like colette, Jeffrey New York, Lane Crawford, Opening Ceremony, Selfridges and The Webster.

In celebration of its 75th anniversary, Coach also redesigned four of its most iconic and beloved silhouettes: the Saddle Bag, Dinky, Rainger and Duffle. These styles, introduced one at a time throughout 2016, will be available at Coach stores and top-tier wholesale channels.

These designs still maintain the effortless and personal characteristics that are quintessentially Coach, but in a host of brilliant hues and surface treatments that honor Coach’s leather craft expertise, such as Tea Rose and Patchwork. With clean, durable constructions and contrast lining, their functionality and proportions suit the Coach woman’s or man’s desire for authenticity and quality in a fresh, modern way.

Coach Icons is also a celebration of Coach’s signature glove tanned leather. Soft, relaxed and tactile, it has an easy luxury that’s inherently cool, and promises to burnish and get better with time. This special and differentiated Coach platform not only celebrates the 75 years of history and heritage familiar to the millions who grew up with Coach bags, but strives to capture the imagination of new customers.
