Conrad Hotel set to Open in Seoul

A new luxury Conrad hotel, part of the Hilton Worldwide hotel group, is set to open in the South Korean capital of Seoul.

Situated in the city’s financial district of Yeouido, the 434-room property is expected to become one of the most technologically advanced hotels in Korea when it opens later this month.

In adherence with its commitment to “Smart Luxury”, the hotel will implement Smart In-room Multimedia Technology which allows guests to surf the Internet, access Facebook and Wi-Fi, access points or play personal content from their own iDevice or laptop.

Additionally, the hotel will implement a variety or eco-friendly initiatives including rainwater harvesting for use in irrigation, grey water usage in toilets and public spaces, solar panels to assist heating water, lighting and emergency power, transparent dual-sheet glass to efficiently control temperature indoors, and ice thermal storage system utilizing late-night surplus electricity.

Other notable amenities will include the Wellness Zone featuring a state-of-the-art fitness club, two ballrooms with private foyer, and two restaurants.

Conrad Seoul will mark the Conrad Group’s 18th opening when it officially open its doors on November 27.

The first Conrad hotel, the Conrad Jupiters Gold Coast in Australia, opened its doors in 1985.
