Cuervo y Sobrinos Launch New Sporty Classic Timepiece

By Paul Joseph

Cuban luxury brand Cuervo y Sobrinos have created a new limited edition timepiece modelled on a watch released in the 1950s.

Combining both their Cuban heritage with classic Swiss watchmaking techniques, the Historiador Cronotiempo wristwatch comes in a 41mm stainless steel case with a special crown cover engraved with the date of the brand’s founding in 1882.

Available with a choice of semi-gloss black dial or ivory dial ivory, the new chronograph features same double curved sapphire crystal used in the original model, whilst the graphic design of the dial and its “plunger” stems also offer nods to the watch’s heritage.

Other notable features include a dial equipped with tachymeter scale in red, giving the watch a dynamic sporty aesthetic, a transparent back cover screwed into the body, a steel framed folding clasp, and a 40-hour power reserve

The Historiador Cronotiempo is limited to just 65 pieces, and is available priced at $4,950 (£3,052).
