Diamonds and Gold Make these the World’s most Expensive Cigars

By Paul Joseph

It has always been a decadent pursuit, but cigar smoking has now got even more extravagant with the launch of the world’s most expensive cigars.

Created by Gurkha Cigars, makers of premium hand-rolled cigars, the range is infused with the classic Remy Martin’s Black Pearl Louis XIII champagne cognac, which alone retails for $165,000 per bottle. The cigars are then filled with tobacco that has been watered exclusively with Fiji water.

But it is what happens next that gives the cigars their status as the world’s priciest. Each one is wrapped with a gold leaf and encrusted with diamonds that total up to five carats.

Only a select group of hand rollers are allowed to lever the cigars, with each of the artisans blindfolded such that their heightened senses guide their movements naturally with minimalistic distractions throughout.

Each cigar is priced at $1 million, and anyone who purchases one will have it hand delivered to them by a messenger who only handles these with white gloves.

Founded more than a century ago, Gurkha is a brand of hand-rolled cigars known for the manufacture of premium products using artistically-oriented packaging.
