Dior Launch New Fine Jewellery Collection

Dior Joaillerie, the high jewellery arm of the iconic French fashion label, has marked its 20th anniversary with a collection of 99 jewellery pieces.

Called Gem Dior, the collection plays on colour and light and features a variety of stones ranging from spinels, tanzanites and Paraiba tourmalines to rubellites and garnets, as well as diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires.

Designed by Dior Joaillerie’s Creative Director, Victoire de Castellane, each piece has been inspired by the colour gradation and kaleidoscopic effect of natural gems to create eye-catching architectural jewellery bursting with colour and brilliance.

The most expensive piece in the collection is a diamond necklace showcasing a 10.62-carat pink sapphire in the middle, worth 1.9 million euros.

To celebrate the launch, Dior unveiled the collection outside Paris for the first time at the Palazzo Labia in Venice earlier this month, alongside 19 exclusive fashion creations designed by acclaimed Italian designer Maria Grazia.

The festivities continued the following night, where VIPs and select media were treated to a performance of the Nuit Blanche ballet at the Teatro Malibran.
