Dream Downtown Unveils New Retail Boutique

Situated behind the hotel’s expansive lobby lounge, the Safira store offers an eclectic assortment of clothing, accessories, and beauty products from luxury brands from around the globe, including lines from Raquel Allegra, Linda Roden and Majestic.

Brendan McNamara, Senior Vice President of Brand Development for Hampshire Hotels & Resorts, said: “The products at Safira truly speak to the discerning tastes of our fashion conscious clientele.

“Our guests lead fast-paced, international lifestyles and it was incredibly important for us to select globally influenced brands to reflect that.”

Customers seeking custom-made pieces can utilize the services of bespoke tailor Alexander Nash, whilst one-of-a-kind creations by Italian eco-luxury brand Guilia Rien a Mettre are also available in the store.

Amanda Gutierrez, the boutique’s curator, said: “Even in a city like New York where everything is at your fingertips, I felt it was important to curate items that were a bit harder to find.

“I make it a point to visit a new place at least once a year and that sense of exploration and adventure is incorporated into every piece in the store.”

The brainchild of hotelier Vikram Chatwal, the Dream Downtown hotel opened last year and is located between two of Manhattan's most vibrant neighbourhoods; the Meatpacking District and Chelsea.

As well as the new Safira boutique, the hotel includes a gourmet restaurant, an ultra-trendy bar, a pool lounge, and an artificial mini-beach.
