Drive Across Germany in Style with Rocco Forte Hotels

By Paul Joseph

Car enthusiasts seeking a unique holiday experience this summer are being given the opportunity to drive across Germany in some of the world’s most sought after supercars – all combined with a stay at three luxury hotels.

The exciting package has been created by Rocco Forte Hotels – operators of three of Germany’s most lavish hotels, in Munich, Berlin and Frankfurt – in partnership with luxury car company Elite Rent-a-Car.

Guests get to choose from a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Ferrari 485 Spider or a Porsche Carrera 911, before embarking on a recommended five-day road trip that takes them across some of Germany’s most picturesque landscapes.

The suggested itinerary (which can be tailored to guests’ wishes) begins at the exceptional Charles Hotel in Munich where guests will enjoy an overnight stay and the chance to enjoy some of the hotel’s standout features, including a fantastic spa and health club and a stylish lobby bar lined with original paintings by Munich's celebrated 19th century artist Franz von Lenbach.

During their stay at the Charles Hotel, conveniently located in the heart of the city, guests can pick up their car of choice before hitting the German highways – famous for their autobahns which feature long stretches with no speed limit.

The tour then takes guests 220 kilometres west to Stuttgart where they can visit the Mercedes-Benz Museum, before joining the German wine route, a scenic drive through Germany’s second largest wine growing region, and also home to several ruins of Roman wine cellars and taverns.

After a recuperating stay in one of the sumptuous suites at Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt, the journey continues to Berlin, via the fairy-tale like Sanssouci Palace (520km), a major work of Roccoco architecture built above a terraced vineyard and once the summer residence of Frederick the Great.

Once in Berlin (40km), guests will have the chance to explore many of the German capital’s most famous sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, the Pergamon Museum and the Reichstag before checking into their suite at Hotel de Rome for a relaxing end to their driving adventure.

The tour is available all year round and includes overnight accommodation at all three Rocco Forte Hotels, as well as car rental and insurance, a detailed itinerary and a fully programmed satellite navigation system.  Alternatively, for those wishing to sit back and enjoy the scenic drive, a tour with a chauffeur is also available.

Prices are available upon request.
