‘Eco-conscious’ Luxury Resort Opens in Abu Dhabi

By Paul Joseph

Renowned Middle Eastern hospitality brand, Jumeirah Group, has announced its sixth new property that is set to open this year in Abu Dhabi.

Located on the UAE capital’s Saadiyat Islands, the hotel is being billed as Jumeirah’s first eco-conscious property thanks to a range of environmentally friendly services and amenities, including single-use plastics, locally-sourced filtered water, and sparkling water in your own personal reusable bottles.

But there’ll be no shortage of luxury facilities too, such as a 9km white beach that runs into the Arabian Gulf, guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, an infinity pool, wellness centre, spa, and a beach golf club, the latter one of the region’s first beachfront courses.

The vast spa will offer a wide range of lavish therapies, including a Moroccan Hammam, saunas, hydrotherapy pool, steam and salt rooms.

Wildlife lovers will also be in their element here, thanks to an array of native creatures regularly spotted in the hotel’s exotic surroundings, such as Indo-pacific humpback and bottlenose dolphins, green turtles, dugongs, gazelles, grey herons and flamingos.

Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts operates more than 20 hotels, resorts and residences, across the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
