Edition Hotel Opens in New York
Luxury hotel brand Edition has opened its latest high-end residence in the heart of New York City.
Located on Madison Square Park in Manhattan’s historic Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower, the property was designed in collaboration with renowned hotelier Ian Schrager and has retained a number of the building’s original architectural features.
Many of the hotel’s 273 guestrooms feature 180-degree city views, while the vast penthouse offers stunning panoramic vistas of Manhattan.
Opening up to a paneled foyer clad in dark oak wood original to the building, each room houses a white oak desk, and a dark walnut headboard and nightstands.
Other notable features of the hotel include a gourmet restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton, two bars, a billiards room, a parlor a library.
Edition Hotels are part of Marriot International’s Lifestyle collection. New Edition properties are slated to open in Sanya, China, Bangkok, Guragon, Abu Dhabi, Shanghai, Wuhan, China, Times Square, West Hollywood and Bali, Indonesia.
