Emirates to Offer On-Board Shisha Lounges

By Paul Joseph

Middle East airline Emirates is rumoured to be on the verge of introducing shisha lounges aboard its A380 fleet for business and first class passengers.

Renowned for the innovative ways in which it attempts to build customer loyalty, the Dubai –based Airline is said to have promised that it will begin the service next month.

With the new service, passengers will be able to order the shisha from their seats, before retiring to a segregated shisha lounge to relax and enjoy a smoke.

The decision to offer shisha facilities follows increasing demand amongst Emirates’ customers – both Middle east natives for whom smoking shisha pipes is a daily pleasure, and also those seeking to experience a significant feature of Arabian lifestyle.

As with all other major airlines, smoking is prohibited on-board flights. If launched, the new Emirates Shisha lounge will bring to an end a no-smoking policy that has been in place across the aviation industry for many years.

Since its foundation in 1985, Emirates Airlines has regularly received accolades for its service.
