Europe's most expensive hotel - Mardan Palace

By superyachts.com

Just when it seemed the world of opulent hotels and five-star service couldn’t raise its standards any higher, the pure luxury of Mardan Palace was unveiled.

Decorated with 500,000 crystals and 23,000 square metres of Italian marble, there is no wonder a suite at this immense palace costs £11,500 ($18,300) per night.

Guests can even enjoy a £25 glass of champagne or reserve a table in the Italian restaurant featuring £1.35 million worth of Hermès crockery.

Or you can always visit the 3,657 square metre spa for a 24-carat gold-leaf body wrap or a bath in champagne extracts.

The £800 million resort has only just opened its ornate doors to welcome a discerning guest list to its 560 rooms including two Royal Suites with private pools.

The hotel opened as you would expect from one of the world’s best; in a glittering display of fire works and famous faces.

600 VIPs were invited to the exclusive opening of Mardan Palace including the likes of Richard Gere, Sir Tom Jones, Sharon Stone, Mariah Carey and Paris Hilton.
