Fairmont Opens Debut Hotel in Turkey

By Paul Joseph

Canadian luxury hotels brand Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in Turkey, billed as bringing a dash of decadence to the banks of the Bosphorus.

Designed to encapsulate both the city’s modern sophistication and rich heritage, the Fairmont Quasar Istanbul sits at a crossroads in Istanbul, where East meets West and modernity meets centuries of history.

This is reflected in the hotel’s visual elements, with blue leather-tufted headboards calling to mind the Bosphorus, and leather-bound and studded minibars inspired by vintage travel trunks. Furthermore, ensuite showers resemble traditional Turkish hammams.

The hotel features a total of 209 guest rooms, including 25 suites, with each offering a wide panoramic view overlooking either the Bosphorus or the city skyline.

The Royal Suite offers unrivalled luxury, while forty exclusive Fairmont Gold rooms create a boutique feel with unparalleled service and access to exclusive services.

Fairmont Quasar Istanbul will also delight foodies, with its array of restaurants and bars, including one with a live mezze kitchen and a spice library.

Guests seeking some indulgent pampering will be well catered for at the Willow Stream Spa – a serene escape from the bustle of the city, featuring 9 treatment rooms, a traditional hammam, an indoor pool, yoga room and state-of-the-art gym.

Founded in 1907, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts currently operates properties in 22 countries across the world.
