Fastest Jaguar Unveiled In Geneva
Amongst the array of glittering new cars launched at the Geneva Motor Show was the Jaguar XKR-S – billed as the fastest and most powerful vehicle in the brand’s history.
Boasting a 5.0 litre V8 engine, the new model can reach speeds of 300 km/h and can go from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds.
As well as its unparalleled power, the car also includes 16-way adjustable heated sports seats with a memory function, designed to hold driver and passenger firmly in place during high-speed outings.
Based on the original Jaguar XKR, its chassis has been honed for greater agility, the suspension has been overhauled for better cornering ability, whilst to help improve handling there are revised alloy wheels.
Only 200 models of the XKR-S will be available worldwide, with 50 in the UK. It will be priced at £79,995 ($130,652), and available to order from September 2011.
